En Belgique, tout a commenc\u00e9 en 1963 lorsque Henri Janssens et No\u00ebl Anselot ont donn\u00e9 le coup d\u2019envoi du premier club Kiwanis belge au restaurant Ravenstein \u00e0 Bruxelles. Le club, dont le parrain est le Kiwanis Los Angeles, est nomm\u00e9 Kiwanis Club no 1 et constitue, avec Vienne, le premier \u00e9tablissement Kiwanis en Europe.<\/p>

Le district de Belgique-Luxembourg comporte 192\u00a0<\/span>clubs avec pr\u00e8s de 3.900\u00a0membres qui prestent ensemble\u00a0<\/span>185.000heures de travail b\u00e9n\u00e9vole chaque ann\u00e9e. En plus de r\u00e9colter environ\u00a0 <\/b><\/span>3.700.000 \u20ac\u00a0\u00a0de fonds revers\u00e9s \u00e0 des projets cibl\u00e9s.<\/p>

Le district a \u00e9t\u00e9 le berceau des poup\u00e9es Kiwanis en chiffon, des grandes poup\u00e9es K-Dolls, d\u2019une collaboration intense avec Special Olympics Belgium et de nombreuses initiatives dans le domaine de l\u2019aide mentale et mat\u00e9rielle aux enfants.<\/p>
